The first unit of study for the year is called 

The food here is great!

We learn restaurant vocabulary like waiter, waitress, uniform, menu, customer, bottle of water, cup of coffee, glass of milk, bowl of soup, and plate of salad.  

We also talk about the present simple and present continuous tense.

The present simple is used for things that you do many times or all the time, while the present continuous is used for things you are doing at the time of speaking.

ex. They usually wear blue uniforms, but today they are wearing white uniforms.
