Thanksgiving

THANKSGIVING 2015:
Thursday, November 26th

On the fourth Thursday of November, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, a national holiday honoring the early settlers and their harvest feast known as the first Thanksgiving.  This year, Thanksgiving falls on the 26th of November.

Typically, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving with family or close friends.  They have a big dinner with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, pumpkin pie, and more.  It is a time that we can come together and be thankful for all the good things we have in our lives (family, friends, healthy foods to eat, a warm home, school, teachers, fun hobbies, etc).

What are you thankful for this year?
