Grammar:

Past Continuous 

Use the past continuous to describe an action happening at a certain time in the past. 

Example:

-What were you doing yesterday at half past six?
- Yesterday at half past six I was having a shower.

              

Dates

We say and write dates differently. 

22nd June 1997- We say: "the twenty-second of June, nineteen ninety-seven"

I was born ... 

Use the correct preposition with years, days and months:

He was born in 1971.

He was born on 9th July 1971.  
He was born in July.
