Grammar:
The infinitive of purpose

-We use to  + base form after an action to say why we did the action.

She went upstairs to get her coat. Dad switched on the TV to watch the news.


How often...? and adverbs of time

-We use how often...? to ask someone how frequently they do something.

How often do you eat in a restaurant?

-To talk about how frequently we do things, we can use the expression once / twice / three times / a + day / week / month / year.

I eat in a restaurant about once a month.
Sally goes on holiday twice a year.

-We also use evry + hour / afternoon / day / Tuesday / week / month / year.

I get up at 7 o'clock every day.
We play basketball every Friday. = We play basketvall on Fridays.
